  • I would have been on sooner...

I left last Wednesday morning for another excursion into the wilds of wonderful, Almost Heaven West Virginia.  And I had planned on writing all about it on Saturday morning when I got back, but things just didn't go as planned.  I would have been on here sooner, but my Hunni was getting really sick, but she didn't feel sick enough to go to the hospital.

Sunday morning arrived and my Hunni had not eaten, had drank some little amounts of water due to my insistence, and she was getting sicker.  We went to church, and I would have been in here sooner, but I had to bring her home because she was sick.  She still didn't want to go to the hospital, just relax at home.

But there was no relaxation and I took her to the hospital around 3pm.  I would have been on here sooner, but it took until 10pm before they had determined that she was very sick and was being admitted into the hospital.

Another hour and a half and I was on my way home.  I would have been on sooner, but I had a #9 migraine and I should have gotten it taken care of at the hospital...though I didn't.

I got up Monday and would have been on here sooner, but I had to get over to see my Hunni.  It wasn't until 4:30pm that they finally determined that her pain level was really high and gave her something for pain.  I had complained to every nurse in the hospital and anyone else that would listen, but it took a long time for the doc to say okay.  She still had not eaten since Saturday breakfast, which was like a piece of toast.

So, my oldest son gets off work and I take him home.  I chewed him out for NOT doing some of the things that I had requested when I left.  An hour after that, he walks in the house and tells me he is not seeing well (that's his aura for a seizure).  I got him seated and we talked as long as we could before he had a full blown seizure.  I would have been on sooner, but I needed to take care of him.  I finally got him in bed.  He has migraines after seizures, and I think the stress of the days had made mine even worse.

Then my youngest son calls and tells me how he was almost in a car accident moments before his call.  He was okay, and nothing was wrong with the car.  I would have been on here sooner, but I waited for him to make it here so we could talk.

My migraine really went through the roof.  I've got about 2 hours of sleep and too many hours of stress.  I would have been on here sooner, but I think you understand.

I thank God that it's Tuesday and we can begin a new day.  I'm not real thankful for this migraine, but won't today have to be better than the last day?  I certainly hope so.

The FogWalker goes back to stand in front of the stove...thinking of today's activities....wishing for oblivion that can't come...

  • OMG What an awful weekend! I hope your hunni is okay. And I hope you get relief from your migraine!

  • Reply: The problem is, I'm a beginner sewer. I wouldn't know where to start making a wedding dress, and I can't follow a sewing pattern yet either. I need someone to teach me!! Maybe I can get my future mother-in-law to teach me. She and her daughter Amy (Nate's sister) made all the bridesmaids' dresses for Amy's wedding coming up on December 30th.  I will think about it, considering I have very specific ideas.

And as for your post, I hope everyone gets well soon! My prayers are with you.

  • RYC: Haha, you are funny! But, um, don't give up your day job LOL Reminds me of one time when my friends and I were walking home from the grocery store that was a mile from home. My mom drove by, slowed down a little and yelled out "Tired of walking?" We yelled back "Yeah!!!" thinking we could get a ride. Nope. She yelled back "Run!!!" and continued on her merry way home.

  • Geez, not a good start to the week.  I hope it gets better soon, for all of you.

  • Oh my goodness!  I sure all of you are feeling better by now.  I'll be praying for your entire family.  Thank you so much for your prayers too.  I'm looking forward to seeing a pic of that squirrel that you mentioned.  But I have a question....   why haven't you been on here sooner???
