  • Sleep

I can't remember the last time that I slept all night without waking up.  Oh wait, that's a lie, because it was last night.  But, I can't remember the last time before that one.  I don't know if it was because I was exhausted, or I wasn't feeling well because of the migraine, or what.  Whatever it was, it is grand to sleep the whole night through and waking up with my alarm.

Even Monie wasn't in there meowing in my face to wake me before the alarm.

    My Mule

I had taken my Mule to the shop on the fourth.  It had become crippled up and I was afraid that they would put it down.  But after a valve job, change of all fluids, new filters, lift kit in the front, and various other asundry items, Lil' Red is back to normal.  Actually, not back to normal, but better than the past normal.

I get to pick it up today.  It's kinda' interesting that I have a 5x10 trailer and it practically fills that trailer.  I have about 3" clear on both sides and about 10" total clearance in front and back.  That's tight!  It, in the trailer, rides right behind me when pulling it down the road!

    Another Excursion

The call of the wild has me again.  I'm leaving in the morning to go back over and camp again.  Though it's supposed to be considerably colder than last time, there's not supposed to be any rain (maybe snow).  That means that I might be able to take my camera out with me this time and take some pics.  I dream of having great pics on my site like Moniet, who always seems to have some good ones!

I'll be taking my smaller tent and less "stuff" this time.  I can keep the smaller tent a little bit warmer when I'm in there, and that may be handy this time.  I won't have to worry about a cooler this time; the great outdoors will be it.

So, I'll be leaving Wednesday morning and coming back on Saturday or Sunday.

    Sick

This morning is the best that I've felt in the last month.  My migraine is down to a 4, which is very good.  My sinus infection, along with the bronchitis, seems almost gone.  I can eat again, so the 24 hour whatever stomach virus is gone.  Ahhhhh!

The worse part is that I found out from the orthopedic doctor that carpal tunnel symptoms can come back and I have a numb index finger on my right hand.  The answer was a cortizone shot in the wrist.  I also have this rather large bone spur in my left shoulder, only about the size of a quarter.  The temporary answer to that was a cortizone shot in the shoulder.  Those two shots were really good.  Not!

I guess sometime in 2007, I'll have to have the arthroscopy done on my shoulder to get rid of the bone spur.  Cortizone is hardly the remedy.  Or maybe it will just break off, weave it's way through my body to my sinuses, and I can blow it out on a tissue and throw it away!  Yeah, I do like science fiction!

The FogWalker leaves to do some more packing....and hopes that everyone has a good day...

  • Wow, you're in as bad a shape as I am, except I don't have the bone spur...  but you don't have the estrogen hell.  I guess we're even?  I will be getting a cortizone shot in my shoulder this Friday though.  I think that will be my New Year's resolution next month.  That all of my ailments will join forces and solidify into one giant oozing blob of alien goo which will explode from my body one night while I sit awake praying for sleep.  Yeah, that sounds good.  Oh, and I wouldn't be myself if I didn't suggest some Melatonin for your sleep problem.

P.S.  Glad to learn that your Mule isn't a breathing, living 4 legged creature that you can mount on your wall!  Looking forward to some pics too.

  • Glad you are feeling better

  • Sleep through a whole night, trusty can do that I never can.
Giving the deer one final chance to make my aquaintance this morning, more from being just plain stubborn then any real hopes of getting a shot.
