  • The Usual

I usually go out the day before Valentine's Day and get a card and something for my Hunni.  Then I leave it in her chair during the night so it's the first thing she'll see when she gets up.  I was so sick with a migraine yesterday that I didn't do hardly anything. Well, I may have whined a lot. So, this is the first year in many years that I didn't have something already for her.  Want to know what makes it worse?

I come into my home office and sit down at my computer.  Sitting on top of my keyboard, leaning against my monitor, is the nicest Valentine's Day card from my Hunni.  I loved it.

Yet, it makes me really mad at myself for not getting out yesterday and doing what I normally do.  ***kicks self in the butt***  I have to go out today, so time for an untimely "make up"!

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!  I hope this is a great day with you and someone special.  And if there is not a special someone to be with, remember that you're special in some way and treat yourself to something nice!  Or if that special someone does like I did, forgive 'em and treat both of you special.  Hehe!

The FogWalker goes to plan something.... maybe dinner and a movie....

  • I'm sure your Hunni understands that you weren't feeling well, and I'm also just as sure you'll show her how special she is today (and every other day!).

  • In my opinion, the other 364 days of the year are just as important as this one.  I don't think there's be any special notice paid to the occasion around here.  That's okay by me.  Greyfox and I talked on the phone yesterday.  We'll talk again today, barring unforeseen events.

  • Happy Valentines Day!  And as a fellow diabetic, let me say that virtual chocolate won't raise your blood sugar   And I'm sure your Hunni understands.

  • @SuSu - In my opinion, I agree that all the days of the year are just as important, and I hope that my Hunni knows what she means to me everyday.  This has been one of those "special" days that was kinda' ingrained upon me when I was younger, and now I like making it special when I can (not like that with a lot of the holidays).  I also like surprising her on days that are not "special" days.  And you hit a point in my thinking that I think is vital with a relationship; both of the partners agreeing (hope I didn't read more into that than was meant).

  • Umm, I'm leaving this comment at my own risk since your new profile pic looks a kinda dangerous!  Thanks for the Happy Valentine message, sorry I didn't come to Xanga and see it earlier.  After seeing the pics of your computer desks below I have to say, no wonder you have so many migraines!  I just realized that I never "subscribed" to you so I'll say good bye and go do it right now!
