Was Yesterday Monday?
The proverbial bad Monday started early for me yesterday. No, it wasn't Monday, but it was bad. It all started when I took my son to a 9am appointment. When I pulled into the lot, I realized that my inspection sticker on the van had run out....in August. Oops. However, right next door was a garage that did inspections. I drove right next door and got to pull right into the bay for the inspection. After about 10 minutes and not being able to find my registration card, I had to pull out and go home for it.
The state trooper that I met on the way home was really nice. Even the blue lights of his patrol car were a nice shade. I explained that my stuff was on the table at the house and I was going back to get it to get the car inspected. He was real nice about it and told me to make sure I get it done; just a verbal warning. When I pulled out from this nice conversation I realized that I didn't even have my wallet with my driver's license. Geemyknee!
I got home and could not find the registration. However, in the van, I had the registration cards from 2000 up to 2005 and the proofs of insurance from 1998 to 2006. Does everyone keep all that outdated stuff in the cars? I also cleaned out the glove compartment of the sales tags that were over several months old, and there was a fine collection of them, too.
The license runs out on my van in another 2 weeks so I decide to get the new license and registration instead of paying $5 to get a copy of the old one. Of course, I can't find my paid personal property tax to get the new license and registration. Okay, okay, let's use the truck instead. That's when I noticed that the truck inspection sticker had also run out last month. I did have all the stuff for the truck and I got it inspected in time to pick up my son from his appointment.
I will say that tension can make migraines worse, as it did all morning. Did I mention that when my son got in the truck that the door kinda' drooped? The bottom hinge plate needs fixed which means about a $100 appointment with the body shop.
By the time this was all over, it was 3pm and I was going back to bed. The next few hours were uneventful because I was in oblivion. Maybe I should stay there today!
The FogWalker ponders yesterday....decides to sleep some more today...

Wow - it seems like if anything could go wrong for you yesterday, it did. At least you didn't get a ticket!
